PERI ORAL LINES
Perioral lines Botox, often referred to as Botox for smoker’s lines or lip lines, targets the fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth area. These lines, also known as perioral lines, can develop due to various factors such as ageing, repeated facial movements, sun exposure, and smoking.
How Botox Treats Perioral Lines:
Muscle Relaxation: Botox (botulinum toxin) is injected into the muscles around the mouth. These injections relax the orbicularis oris muscle, which is responsible for many of the movements that cause these lines.
Smoothing Effect: By relaxing these muscles, Botox helps to smooth out the lines and prevent them from deepening, leading to a more youthful and refreshed appearance.
